Module Operation

Panel structure

Based on the connection points, the MobilGate-Max panel consists of the following parts:

Top:

  • MicroUSB connector: For programming the module and data transfer.

Side:

  • Antenna connector: External SMA connector magnetic base antenna (optional).

Inside:

  • nanoSIM slot: For a standard nanoSIM card, which must be used without a PIN code.

Bottom:

  • Power supply connector: 10-40V DC or 10-24V AC input, polarity independent.
  • Relay outputs (1 and 2): Low current NO type relays, max. 48V/1A load capacity.
  • General input: Activated by a closing contact, can be used for transmitting error messages or status changes.

Housing and design:

Casing: Shielded ABS plastic, resistant to mechanical impacts and environmental factors.

Antenna types:

  • Built-in rod antenna.
  • External magnetic base antenna with SMA connector.

Dimensions:

  • Without antenna: 78 x 57 x 21 mm.
  • With rod antenna: 110 x 57 x 21 mm.
  • With magnetic base antenna: 110 x 57 x 21 mm.

LED indicator meanings and functions

The LEDs on the MobilGate-Max panel serve to indicate the device's status and various functions. Below, we detail the meaning of each LED:

Status LED (top LED):

Yellow (solid): Module initialization is in progress after power-on. The LED will be lit for approximately 10 seconds.

Yellow (flashing): The GSM module is initializing itself and searching for a network provider.

Green (flashing): Signal strength indication:

  • 1 flash: Weak signal. The module may disconnect from the network, relocation is recommended.
  • 2 flashes: Weak signal. The module may restart, causing approximately 30 seconds of downtime.
  • 3 flashes: Medium signal. The module is operating stably.
  • 4 flashes: Strong signal. The module is operating stably.
  • 5 flashes: Maximum signal strength.

Red (rapid flashing):

  • The GSM module cannot find a network, the antenna is faulty, or the SIM card is incorrect.

Relay status LEDs (bottom LEDs):

  • Green (solid): The relay is active, the output is in the ON state.
  • Green (off): The relay is in the OFF state.

Communication statuses:

Yellow (pulsing): Communication in progress: the module is sending or receiving SMS, handling calls, or transmitting data in GPRS mode.
