Product description

The MobilTherm-1xL is an industrial GSM-based thermostat, temperature indicator, and temperature alarm module developed for temperature control, remote temperature measurement, remote signaling, and remote operation. The GSM module features an internal Lithium-polymer battery, an external digital thermometer, 2 inputs that activate on closing contacts, and 2 single-circuit, low-current relay outputs. Its relay outputs can be switched on and off with an SMS into a bistable state (changing only upon another SMS) or a monostable state, meaning they can be energized for a specified time by a command SMS, after which the relays automatically switch off. The digital thermometer connectable to the module can measure between -50C and +50C. If the set lower and upper temperature limits are exceeded, the module will send an SMS to the pre-programmed user phone numbers. It also sends SMS messages about changes in the two digital inputs. Users are notified of temperature alarms or input changes via pre-set SMS content and/or phone calls. The relays have NO (normally open) outputs, so consumers are off by default. They can be switched on by energizing the relay.

The MobilTherm-1xL GSM temperature alarm can be programmed for a maximum of 4 phone numbers. It is typically recommended for private use in homes, weekend houses, and holiday homes for frost protection and/or tempering, but it is also well-suited for agricultural or animal husbandry purposes. It requires a power supply of 8-30V DC, with a minimum load capacity of 500mA. Programming is possible from a computer or laptop via a microUSB port using our free Unified download software, or by sending a few SMS messages to the module to modify its configuration. The inputs and outputs can be named with a maximum of 32 characters, and the format of the command controlling the outputs can also be defined. The module only accepts commands from dedicated phone numbers, ensuring that unauthorized persons cannot disable or reprogram the module. The module has an internal battery, so it can send an alarm even in the event of a power outage. It operates for approximately 4-6 hours on the internal battery, so if power is restored within this time, the device will also report it via SMS and call.

The MobilTherm-1xL is sold as a complete industrial GSM module, always with the latest operating software, and with either an internal or external antenna. This module with an internal antenna and thermometer is called MobilTherm-1xL, while the external antenna and external thermometer version is called MobilTherm-1xLa. The smaller members of the family are the MobilTherm-1M and MobilTherm-1S, which also come in external and internal thermometer and antenna versions. The smallest, the S version, does not have an internal battery. Our DIN rail mountable version (for "C" rail) is available as MobilTherm-1C, with an internal battery, high-current relays, for controlling 230V equipment. All devices are available with either a built-in small stub antenna or an external magnetic base antenna.
