Product description

The MobilCom-6 is a lower consumption, more modern successor to the MobilCom-655, a GSM communicator and transmitter, or a GSM dialer and line replacement module, a GSM adapter that can be connected to an alarm control panel. It is suitable for replacing DTMF Contact-ID telephone line communication with a similar, but GSM-based communication. The GSM transmitter and dialer adapter has been specifically developed for alarm control panels and fire alarm control panels, and accordingly, special bandwidth and functions have been developed that require DTMF-based data transmission. The GSM dialer operates with a built-in industrial GSM module and any subscription or pre-paid card.

The GSM communicator only passes through DTMF Contact ID-based communication; it does not store or convert it. Apart from the 12-15V supply voltage, the GSM dialer adapter only connects to the alarm device's telephone line input. It also has a separate SMS input, which, when activated, can send a separate SMS to a mobile phone number. The GSM dialer monitors the alarm control panel's output, line voltage, and provides a dial tone during pickup. It also controls the GSM module, queries it, and periodically re-registers it to the network.

The GSM transmitter has two inputs: a two-point power input requiring 12-15V, a two-point terminal block, and a screw-on SMA antenna input for the industrial modem. The adapter has been specifically developed for alarm control panels and fire alarms, and therefore, special bandwidth and functions required for DTMF-based data transmission have been implemented. For this reason, the GSM dialer and line replacement or GSM transmitter is primarily designed for one-way communication, so even if it receives a call from outside, the system does not signal the incoming call due to the lack of ringing voltage. Every SMS received by the MobilCom-6 GSM dialer is forwarded to the mobile number specified by the user, including, for example, the service provider's SMS indicating the balance of the top-up card. The various SMS signaling and forwarding functions can be programmed for the module by sending a few SMS messages.

The GSM line replacement or GSM adapter can only be installed in an alarm control panel and is available as a standalone GSM transmitter panel, primarily intended for transmitting DTMF Contact ID-based communications. The transmission of other communication formats (e.g., pulse) heavily depends on environmental parameters. The MobilCom-6 GSM line replacement is available in a simple and inexpensive panel or boxed version, equipped with a small built-in GSM antenna, or an external dual-band whip antenna mounted on a 0.5m coaxial cable, and a service provider-independent industrial GSM module.
