Product description

The MobilTherm-2M is an industrial GSM-based temperature signaling and temperature alarm module designed for remote temperature signaling and remote operation. The GSM module features an internal Lythium-polymer battery, an external digital thermometer, an input activated by a closing contact, and a single-circuit low-current relay output. Its relay output can be switched on and off with an SMS into a bistable state (changing only with another SMS), or into a monostable state, meaning it can be energized for a specified time by a command SMS, after which time the relay automatically switches off. The digital thermometer connectable to the module measures between -50°C and +50°C. If the set lower or upper temperature limits are exceeded, the module will send an SMS to the pre-programmed user phone numbers.

It also sends an SMS about changes in the digital input. Users are notified of temperature alarms or input changes via SMS with pre-set content and/or phone calls. The COM and NO (common and normally open) contacts of the relays are wired out, so consumers are switched off in their default state. They can be switched on by energizing the relay.

The MobilTherm-2M GSM temperature alarm can be programmed for a maximum of 4 phone numbers. It is suitable for refrigerators, cold rooms, air-conditioned rooms, warehouses, and tempered agricultural and livestock facilities. Its power supply requirement is 8-35Vdc DC voltage with a minimum load capacity of 500mA. Programming is possible from a desktop computer or laptop via a microUSB port using our free Unified download software, or by sending SMS messages to the module.

Inputs and outputs can be named with a maximum of 32 characters, and the format of the commands controlling the outputs can also be defined. By sending these commands to the module, the relay output (switches on, switches off) is executed. The module only accepts commands from dedicated phone numbers, thus ensuring that unauthorized persons cannot disable or reprogram the module. The module has an internal battery, so it sends an alarm even in the event of a power outage. It operates for approximately 4-6 hours on the internal battery, so if power is restored within this time, the device also reports it via SMS and call.

The module is sold complete with an industrial GSM module, always with the latest operating software, and an external or internal antenna. The stub antenna version is MobilTherm-2M, and the external magnetic base antenna version is available under the name MobilTherm-2Ma. The simplest version of the MobilTherm-2 family is the MobilTherm-2S, and the larger version is called MobilTherm-2xL, both of which are available with built-in and external magnetic base antennas. The smallest version does not include an internal battery. The version that can be snapped onto a "C" rail (DIN rail) is available as MobilTherm-2C, also with an internal battery and high-current relays specifically for controlling network equipment. All devices are available with a small built-in stub antenna or an external magnetic base antenna.
